PACT Kids and You Parenting Program
Family Fun Day 2008 was Saturday, April 26, at Rhodes Ferry Park from 10:00 AM-4:00 PM. This annual fundraiser is sponsored by PACT's Board of Directors in order to fund our programs. For the 6th year, Decatur Parks and Recreation co-sponsored the event. Despite the threat of rain, families enjoyed all day entertainment from local groups/organizations, as well as a variety of activities including face painting, ring toss, sand art, a dunkin' booth, children's art village, diaper derby and toddler trot, inflatable slide, and moonwalk. This year, we also had our 2nd annual talent show in conjunction with the MidSouth Memphis Fair. Jeanne Rinnander, Director of Youth Talent, attended the event this year. Delicious refreshments included hot dogs, candy, drinks, and fresh baked goodies from Decatur Charity League. This is an excellent opportunity for families to spend time together.
