EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE

Direct assistance is offered to Morgan County residents through the intake process at the PACT office. Our community Resource Specialist is available by appointment during regular office hours to meet with individuals and families to assess specific needs. Frequent requests include utility assistance, rent assistance, gasoline, food, school supplies, household items, prescriptions, Christmas assistance and childcare. After the intake appointment is complete, PACT or a community partner may pay a portion of the existing need, as funds are available. Basic money management tips are offered to the individual requesting assistance.  This process often reveals additional needs of the family. At this point, appropriate referrals are made for needed services. These are provided in a discrete and respectful manner by PACT employees.

If you are seeking assistance, please call the PACT office for an appointment. You will need to bring a picture ID, social security card, and proof of need (examples: utility bill if utility assistance is needed). This will enable the staff assist with the need quickly.

Please refer to our Support PACT for current intake needs. Cash donations or gift cards may be designated to provide for specific needs, including utilities, rent, gasoline, prescriptions, childcare, and food. Also PACT appreciates donations of school supplies each year in August, and sponsorships of families during the holiday season.
