A Silver Celebration, honoring Decatur Assembly's charter members, was the theme for PACT Ball 2008 on Saturday, March 8, at Decatur Country Club. Planning the festive night was Whitney Clemons, Ball Chair, with help from the entire active membership of Decatur Assembly.

Party-goers enjoyed a menu of stuffed mushroom caps, cheese and chili shapes, pear & gorgonzola over assorted greens with blackberry balsamic dressing, porcini mushroom crusted beef tenderloin with horseradish cream, three cheese potato gratin, macadamia nut crusted sea scallops, grilled vegetables, angel biscuits, orzo with pinenuts, asparagus & cherry tomatoes, smoked salmon, crabe cakes with spicy remoulade, shrimp & grits with Andouille sausage, chicken skewers, almond raspberry Brie with fruit, double chocolate cheesecake with Ganache and raspberries..

Black Widow, of Nashville, provided music for the ball. They have been one of the south's top Show and Dance bands for 30 years. The eight member stage show is a non-stop visual presentation enhanced with driving beats and the songs you love to hear and dance to time after time after time. From the sounds of the Big Chill/Motown to the retro seventies, eighties and nineties, Black Widow knows how to get down!
